In accordance with the Civil Air Defense Law of the People's Republic of China and the Measures for the Implementation of the Civil Air Defense Law of the People's Republic of China in Jiangsu Province, and with the approval of the provincial government, September 18 of each year is designated as the unified air strike alarm test day across the province to enhance the national defense and civil air defense awareness of all citizens. Accordingly, Huai'an will conduct an air strike alarm test as required on that day. This year's test will take place from 10:00 a.m. to 10:19 a.m. on September 18.

The air strike alarm signals and duration are specified as follows: At 10:00, the advance alarm will be sounded, repeating three cycles of sounding for 36 seconds and pausing for 24 seconds, with the whole alarm lasting for 3 minutes; at 10:08, the air-raid alarm will be sounded, repeating 15 cycles of sounding for 6 seconds and pausing for 6 seconds, with the whole alarm lasting for 3 minutes; at 10:16, the all-clear alarm will be sounded, with a continuous long blast lasting for 3 minutes.

During the air strike alarm test, civil air defense drills will be organized simultaneously. All citizens and temporary visitors are requested not to panic, to maintain normal work and daily order, and to pay attention to identifying the air strike alarm signals.
