Recently, China's National Patent-Intensive Products Filing and Recognition Pilot Platform announced the 2025 list of patent-intensive products. A total of 10 products from Huai'an City made the list, involving 54 associated patents.
Patent-intensive products are products that rely primarily on patents to compete in the market and possess strong competitive advantages. Characterized by the "three highs"—high patent protection intensity, high patent value contribution, and high dependence of product competitiveness on patents—they serve as a key benchmark for measuring enterprise innovation capacity and regional industrial competitiveness. The 10 recognized products span multiple strategic emerging industries, including next-generation information technology, intelligent equipment, new materials, and biomedicine, fully demonstrating the innovative strength of Huai'an's emerging industries.
In recent years, the Huai'an Administration for Market Regulation (Intellectual Property Office) has continued to deepen the cultivation of patent-intensive products, steadily and methodically advanced product filing and promotion, and vigorously supported the development of patent-intensive industries. By the end of August this year, Huai'an had 10,240 valid invention patents, up 6.86% year-on-year, with valid invention patents per 10,000 people reaching 22.64, up 7.20% year-on-year, demonstrating continued improvements in both innovation density and independent innovation capabilities.
