Recently, Huai'an City issued a policy to optimize and adjust the scope of local subsidies for the 2026 consumer goods trade-in program, adding commonly used household appliances such as smart rice cookers, smart printers, and smart blood pressure monitors to the list of eligible trade-in items.

The ten product categories included in this trade-in subsidy policy are: smart security devices (smart door locks); smart environmental management appliances (smart air purifiers, smart lighting fixtures); smart cooking appliances (smart range hoods, smart gas stoves, smart microwave-steamer-oven all-in-one machines, smart food processors); smart kitchen cleaning appliances (smart dishwashers, smart water purifiers); smart bathroom appliances (smart clothes dryers, smart toilets); smart cleaning devices (smart robotic vacuums); smart imaging and photography equipment (digital cameras); smart voice-controlled interactive devices (smart speakers, smart headphones, embodied intelligent robots); smart learning and office equipment (smart printers); smart health products (smart massage chairs, smart health monitors, electric wheelchairs).

The subsidy standard is set at 15% of the final selling price of the product after deducting all applicable discounts and concessions. Each consumer is eligible for a subsidy on one item per subcategory, with the subsidy amount capped at RMB 1,500 per item. Products eligible for the subsidy must carry a 13-digit national standard product code. Products requiring energy efficiency or water efficiency labels must be rated Grade 1 under the China Energy Efficiency or Water Efficiency Labeling system. In addition, they must be officially registered on the Energy Efficiency or Water Efficiency Label Management website.

This policy will be implemented until December 31, 2026. The subsidy funds are subject to total volume control, quota management, and eligibility regulation. If the subsidy funds are exhausted ahead of schedule, the policy will terminate earlier than the planned date.
