On August 25, construction began on the Xuyi 18.75 MW Wind Power Project, one of the first pilot projects under Jiangsu Province's "Harness the Wind in Thousands of Villages" initiative.

Jointly developed by Urban Resources Company, a subsidiary of Huai'an Urban Development Group, and Greentown Energy Company, a subsidiary of Xuyi Guolian Group, the project has a planned total investment of approximately 96.3878 million yuan. It covers a planned land area of about 0.4 hectares with a total installed capacity of 18.75 MW. It plans to install three wind turbine units, each with a capacity of 6.25 MW, a rotor diameter of 220 meters, and a hub height of 160 meters, along with a newly built 10 kV switching station, with an estimated annual on-grid electricity output of approximately 38.475 million kWh.

Upon completion, the project is expected to save approximately 11,600 tons of standard coal and reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 23,000 tons annually. By adopting an innovative "village-enterprise cooperation" model, it synergistically advances green energy transition, comprehensive rural revitalization, and "dual carbon" goals.

Huai'an Urban Development Group will accelerate pile foundation construction and switching station development, striving toward the goal of achieving full-capacity grid connection by the end of the year, effectively supporting local energy mix optimization and rural revitalization while injecting new momentum into Huai'an's new energy industry development and green rural economic development.
