This year, the Huai'an Intellectual Property Protection Center has focused on its core mission of rights protection assistance, strengthened collaborative protection mechanisms, and improved the efficiency of targeted services. It has made every effort to build an efficient, convenient, and whole-chain intellectual property (IP) legal service system, injecting strong momentum into improving Huai'an's IP legal protection framework.

From January to July this year, the center accepted 41 applications for assistance with IP rights protection and issued 41 professional opinions, effectively addressing the pressing concerns and needs of enterprises. For the overseas risks faced by enterprises "going global," the center has continuously provided guidance on handling overseas IP disputes. It has collected 21 pieces of risk information regarding overseas trademark squatting, released 21 risk warning letters, and issued 9 sets of guiding opinions. Additionally, it handled 7 leads for guidance on overseas disputes and US-related trademark cancellation cases and issued 2 guiding opinions to safeguard Huai'an enterprises in international competition effectively.

The center continues to deepen cooperation with courts at the municipal and county (district) levels to promote pre-litigation mediation for IP disputes efficiently. Through a closed-loop model of "online court entrustment—center assignment—organized mediation—facilitated judicial confirmation," disputes have been resolved quickly and effectively. Since this year, the center has accepted 225 cases commissioned by courts for mediation, effectively reducing the costs of rights protection for innovation entities. Meanwhile, it has strengthened coordination and cooperation with administrative law enforcement departments. This year, two leads on patent infringement disputes have been transferred to IP administrative authorities. The center has fully cooperated in verifying evidence for administrative adjudications to ensure the accurate determination of infringement facts.
