June 27 marks the 10th UN Micro, Small, and Medium-Sized Enterprises (MSME) Day. In accordance with the unified deployment of the province, Huai'an held the 2026 MSME Day theme event on June 27. Mayor Gu Kun attended and announced the launch of the MSME Service Week.
The event, themed "Empowering MSMEs to Build Their Dreams," released the Ten Measures of Huai'an to Vigorously Promote the Healthy Development of Micro, Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (Trial) and specific service initiatives in key areas. Representatives from 10 industry associations and chambers of commerce read out a joint declaration on serving the high-quality development of MSMEs.
Gu Kun expressed heartfelt thanks to the MSMEs for their active contributions to the development of Huai'an. He pointed out that the vast number of MSMEs are the "capillaries" of economic operation and an important force for stabilizing employment and growth. Huai'an has always placed the promotion of the healthy development of MSMEs in a prominent position to enrich the people and strengthen the city, adhering to the work orientation of "prioritizing projects and valuing the environment," and continuously empowering MSMEs and reducing their burdens. The newly issued Ten Measures focus on reducing costs, improving capabilities, and strengthening support, aiming to address bottlenecks and pain points that hinder enterprise development. Localities and relevant departments should further refine operational details, increase publicity, interpretation, and precise delivery, effectively improve policy awareness and coverage, and ensure that policy dividends reach enterprises directly and quickly, allowing them to enjoy all benefits and truly maximize effectiveness.
