On June 18, the launch ceremony of the 2026 Huai'an "Love of Youth" College Student Volunteer Service Program and the inauguration of the Huai'an Red Cross Youth Network were held at Jiangsu Food & Pharmaceutical Science College. Student volunteer representatives from nine higher education institutions gathered together, answering the call of humanitarianism in the name of youth.

The "Love of Youth" college student volunteer service program has taken root in Huai'an for fifteen years and has long become a signature brand in the city's spiritual civilization building and youth volunteer service. This year, nine colleges and technical secondary schools participated enthusiastically, submitting a total of 46 projects, of which three were selected as provincially supported projects, 43 as municipal-level projects, and seven as "Youth Partnership Program" incubation projects. This year's service content is richer, and its coverage continues to expand, fully demonstrating contemporary college students' concern for society and willingness to contribute. For example, the Red Cross Society Student Branch of Nanjing Forestry University Huai’an Campus focuses on cultural and tourism safety assurance and launched the "First Aid on the Way, Safety in Huai'an" project to promote first aid knowledge in scenic spots; the Red Cross Society of the Faculty of Foreign Languages at Huai'an University joined hands with several other higher education institutions to form a cross-campus blood donation volunteer alliance, using short videos in Chinese, English, and Russian, integrated with local culture, to promote the idea that "Blood Donation Is Honorable" and firmly embed it in people's hearts.

At the event, the Huai'an Red Cross Youth Network was officially established, marking the realization of coordinated linkage and joint progress among Red Cross youth forces across all higher education institutions in the city, and creating a brand-new platform for the development of humanitarian causes.
