time:2026-06-11

During the summer harvesting, planting, and field management season, summer grain procurement in Huai'an is proceeding smoothly. Grain procurement stations across the city have started operations in advance, and local farmers are arriving to have their newly harvested wheat inspected, weighed, and settled.

Huai'an has actively prepared for summer grain procurement, strictly upholding the bottom line of ensuring that "grain has a ready market." The city has coordinated RMB 3 billion for summer grain procurement, including RMB 40 million as initial working capital for wheat. About 1.35 million tons of storage capacity has been prepared to meet peak demand. As of June 7, the city's wheat harvest reached 3.2349 million mu, with a progress rate of 67.7%, and the quality of the harvested wheat is high. As of June 9, the city had procured 131,600 tons of wheat, including 52,600 tons from state-owned enterprises and 79,000 tons from private enterprises, maintaining a stable and orderly market.

During the procurement period, stations across the city provided extended services by "opening early and closing late" while adding personnel, windows, and equipment during peak hours. Grain procurement standards are strictly enforced, ensuring fair quality inspection, accurate weighing, and on-the-spot settlement. Rest areas and drinking water points have been set up on-site to provide convenient services. To address financing issues, Huaiyin District coordinated with banks to connect grain brokers and enterprises for online loan processing, thereby boosting market liquidity and ensuring timely payments to farmers. Moreover, Huai'an has intensified supervision through enhanced interdepartmental collaboration and business guidance for grain price monitoring points to resolve procurement challenges promptly. Market regulation authorities have joined forces to strengthen oversight of the grain circulation market and rigorously investigate acts that harm farmers' interests, fostering a fair and orderly environment. Meanwhile, safety education and operational management have been strengthened to strictly prevent production safety accidents.
