Huai'an Launches Second Round of Overseas Trademark Squatting Monitoring
time:2026-05-15

Recently, the Huai'an Intellectual Property Protection Center officially launched the second round of overseas trademark squatting monitoring for export enterprises. By providing free public welfare monitoring services for 16 trademarks from 13 export enterprises citywide, this initiative helps them identify risks in advance and provides timely warnings, thereby assisting SMEs in reducing their burdens and expanding into international markets.

During the previous monitoring year, the Center identified 86 pieces of information about trademark squatting risks and issued 86 corresponding risk warning letters. It helped enterprises defuse multiple overseas trademark-squatting risks in advance, effectively removing potential market-access barriers and preventing damage to brand value.

Currently, the Center has dynamically updated its overseas trademark squatting monitoring database for export enterprises based on risk levels and has completed the collection and screening of the second batch of participating enterprises. The Center will continue to compile the city's directory of foreign-related enterprises, establish dynamic communication mechanisms, and increase corporate visits. It will focus on potential overseas IP risks faced by companies planning to go public, host specialized training sessions on overseas IP, and provide case-specific guidance to help enterprises respond to litigation. By creating a full-process service loop of "pre-incident prevention, mid-incident response, and post-incident improvement," the Center provides comprehensive protection for enterprises to prevent and resolve overseas IP disputes, enabling more SMEs to confidently "go global."
