Since the beginning of this year, focusing on key groups such as college graduates and skilled workers, Huai'an has taken multi-pronged measures to consolidate the foundation of employment and livelihood, including building precise matchmaking platforms, strengthening vocational skills training, and improving the employment security system. These measures have provided strong impetus for stabilizing growth, ensuring people's livelihood, and promoting development.
College graduates are the top priority for employment stabilization. Recently, a special job fair was held in full swing at Jiangsu Vocational College of Electronics and Information. Seventy-three high-quality backbone enterprises from Nanjing, Suzhou, and other places offered 2,264 positions, covering fields such as electronic technology, intelligent manufacturing, and information technology. Fresh graduates, holding their resumes, shuttled between the booths of various enterprises, actively inquired about job details, and communicated in depth with the recruitment managers, achieving efficient and smooth supply-demand matching on site.
In addition to building a bridge for supply-demand matching, improving workers' vocational skills is also a key measure for employment stabilization. In response to the differentiated skill needs of workers, Huai'an has coordinated resources to launch convenient carriers such as evening skills classes, covering groups such as office workers and the unemployed, promoting "learning skills and improving abilities right at one's doorstep."
Since the beginning of this year, Huai'an has set its sights on the goal of creating more than 36,000 new urban jobs throughout the year, and continues to focus on high-quality full employment. Relying on the three-year "Skills Empower Huai'an" initiative, Huai'an has continuously improved the "1+N" vocational skills training system, strengthened the linkage between cities and counties, implemented training programs on a large-scale and precise basis, comprehensively enhanced the pertinence and effectiveness of training, and promoted the high-quality development of the city's employment and livelihood work.
