Huai'an Railway Records Over 410,000 Passenger Arrivals and Departures During the May Day Holiday

During the May Day holiday, Huai'an Railway recorded over 410,000 passenger arrivals and departures, a year-on-year increase of 5.5%, successfully completing the task of guaranteeing railway transportation during the holiday.

During the May Day holiday, Huai'an Railway recorded 208,400 passenger departures, a year-on-year increase of 4.1%; the number of passenger arrivals was 205,400, up 7.0% year-on-year. Notably, Huai'andong Railway Station, as the main station, undertook most of the passenger transportation tasks, recording 183,900 passenger departures and 186,900 passenger arrivals, serving as the preferred station for passengers.

In order to fully cope with the travel peak and ensure the smooth travel of passengers, the railway department planned in advance and implemented scientific policies to accurately optimize the allocation of transportation capacity. During the May Day holiday, Huai' an opened a total of 1,153 passenger trains, an increase of 133 over the same period of last year, further improving the supply of transportation capacity, effectively alleviating the pressure of passenger flow, and meeting the travel needs of passengers, such as visiting relatives and tourism.

At the same time, the Huai'an Municipal Railway Office took the initiative, together with stations, railway public security, and other relevant units, to make overall plans to ensure holiday transportation. All units strengthened passenger flow guidance and order control in key areas such as waiting halls, ticket gates, and platforms, and sent additional staff on duty to answer passengers' inquiries promptly, assist passengers in purchasing and collecting tickets, and guide passengers to transfer in an orderly manner. In addition, the city continuously optimized service measures to improve the quality of waiting and transfer services, making every effort to create a safe, convenient, and comfortable travel environment for passengers.
