During the Spring Festival holiday, more than 5 million passengers were transported in or out of Huai'an. Railways, airlines, and road transport collectively served 503,800 passengers.
For railways, a total of 1,889 passenger trains were operated, an increase of 154 compared to the same period last year. These trains transported 239,300 passengers out, representing a year-on-year increase of 14.4%; 234,400 arriving passengers were received, up 20.1% year-on-year.
For aviation, there were a total of 484 flights, both departures and arrivals. Outbound passengers totaled 31,600, up 2.01% year-on-year, and inbound passengers reached 24,700, up 9.54% year-on-year.
For road passenger transport, a total of 7,000 vehicles were deployed for intercity passenger services, operating 14,100 trips and transporting 232,900 passengers, marking an 11.35% year-on-year decrease.
For urban passenger transport, 16,500 buses were deployed, handling 3,291,700 passenger trips, up 3.31% year-on-year. Notably, the daily number of urban bus passengers exceeded 300,000 for seven consecutive days, reaching a single-day peak of 388,800. The tram operated a total of 2,600 trips, carrying 560,000 passengers, representing a 9% year-on-year increase. On February 19, tram ridership reached 76,000, setting a new historical high. During this period, the average daily ridership was 62,000, the highest since the service commenced. Meanwhile, a total of 18,800 taxis were in operation, transporting 777,700 passengers, a 16.77% decrease year-on-year.
