During the Spring Festival holiday, Huai'an's market supervision department focused on key areas and implemented precise policies.

It strengthened special equipment supervision. In view of the dense flow of people during the festival, safety reminders were issued to special equipment users throughout Huai'an, focusing on strengthening the inspection and maintenance of elevators and extensive amusement facilities in shopping malls, supermarkets, tourist attractions, and other places. Special inspections were carried out, with a total of 185 sets of equipment checked and 14 problems and hidden dangers rectified.

Huai'an enhanced food safety supervision. For key varieties such as bulk food and seasonal food in festival markets, key places such as supermarkets, farm produce fairs, restaurants, tourist attractions, and key businesses such as online meal ordering, chain restaurants, and rural collective dining, Huai'an strengthened the release of consumer risk warnings, safety hazard inspections, special supervision and sampling, and comprehensive market governance. More than 1,000 food production and sales units and more than 3,000 catering service units were inspected.

Huai'an improved product quality supervision. It focused on key consumer goods such as gas appliances, electric bicycles, fireworks, and firecrackers that are closely related to people's consumption. It also strengthened quality and safety supervision in production and sales links. Huai'an inspected more than 3,000 stores selling electric bicycles, gas appliances, fireworks, and firecrackers, and found no product quality risks, including unqualified sales quality and unbranded and dateless products by a nameless factory.

Huai'an intensified food safety supervision. The city continuously strengthened the supervision and inspection of pharmaceuticals and medical devices. In this effort, the focus was on retail pharmacies, online pharmaceutical and medical device sales enterprises, and primary healthcare institutions as key targets. Besides, it prioritized essential drugs for the prevention and treatment of major infectious diseases during winter and spring, controlled substances, and pharmaceuticals and medical devices related to medical cosmetology as key product categories. Huai'an also emphasized urban-rural junctions and rural areas as key regions. The city inspected a total of 284 drug and equipment business units, discovered and guided the rectification of 15 problems and hidden dangers.
