Former Residence of Zhu Zhanke

Zhu Zhanke is from Shanyang County of Huai'an Prefecture and was appointed as Shunning Magistrate during Guangxu Reign of Qing Dynasty.
Former Residence of Zhu Zhanke is located at east side of Dongchang Street in Huai'an and with a large area from Inpatient Department of People's Hospital in Chuzhou District of Huai'an to the southern area. The Main Rooms of former residence were repaired; other some hundreds of rooms are still occupied by some residents today.
Former Residence of Zhu Zhanke is famous for window carving. Zhu Zhanke used many ways to carve plum, orchid, bamboo, chrysanthemum, piano, chess, calligraphy and painting admired by ancient scholars on both sides of windows and pavilion.
