Mar. 5, 2018 marks the 120th birth anniversary of late Premier Zhou Enlai. A series of commemorative activities are to be held in Huaian, Zhou’s birth place.
The series activities are to start on Jan. 8, the death anniversary of Zhou Enlai, with the premiere of a poem collection and a recital.
Other activities include themed exhibitions, seminar and art performances.
Zhou Enlai (Mar. 5, 1898-Jan. 8, 1976) served as Premier of the Government Administrative Council of the People's Republic of China (replaced by the State Council from September 1954), and Minister of Foreign Affairs before 1958. He successively served as Vice Chairman of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China (CPC).
