Time:2017-12-29

Jiangsu media reported on Dec. 29 that additional 16.92-kilometer river port lines will be built in Huai’an, so as to better serve China’s strategies including the Belt and Road Initiative, Yangtze River Economic Belt and coastal development, as well as Jiangsu province’s Huai River Ecological Economic Corridor Strategy, according to the Adjustment on Huai’an Port’s General Planning, which was recently approved by the Jiangsu Provincial People’s Government.

As an important transportation hub in the northern Jiangsu area, Huai’an Port will be gradually developed into a comprehensive harbor primarily for shipping containers and staple bulk cargo such as raw materials and energy products. The port will also provide loading and unloading, storage and transit services, and have a neighboring industrial base and the support of the modern logistics industry.
