Benefiting from the green and low-carbon development, Huai’an Ecological and Cultural Tourism District has made great achievements during the past five years.
The Forest Park, also dubbed “green lung of the district”, spreads across an area of 2,400 mu (160 hectares), and boasts an amount of over 30,000 trees.
The newly-built Huai’an Library in the district opened to the public in the first half of this year. Alongside the Cultural Museum, the Art Museum and the Urban Planning Exhibition Hall, the vessel-shaped complex has gained growing attraction to tourists and local residents.
The district is also equiped with convenient transportation, high quality education and 421,000 sqm of public buildings like sports center, administrative center and grand theater. ZTE Industrial Park and start-up blocks have been settled down here.
As a role model of green development in Huai’an city, Huai’an Ecological and Cultural Tourism District is speeding up "reform of the system of developing an ecological civilization, and building a beautiful China".
