Huai’an Wins National Green Buildings Award
The complex of the Jiangsu Province Hydrogeological Engineering Geological Survey (Huai'an) Base was awarded the Second Award of the National Green Buildings Innovation Award, Jiangsu’s media reported on Sept 7.
The project occupies an area of 15,000 square meters, and it is the first "design + operation" three-star green building in northern Jiangsu. It has integrated more than 20 green building suitable technologies, and compared with the traditional building, it can save 100,000 kilowatt hours of electricity and 7,000 tons of water.
The National Green Buildings Innovation Award is the highest level of green building development award in China and is awarded every two years. This is the first time Huai'an has secured the award.
