Former Residence of Liu E is a Cultural Relics Protection Unit of Huai’an. It is located at the eastern side of Shao Lake besides Xichang Street in Huai’an City. In the 3rd year of Guangxu Reign of Qing Dynasty (1877), the father of Liu E bought the residence when he was retired. The residence was constituted by 3 units, 5 parts and over 140 rooms. It was once the residence of grain transport governor of Ming Dynasty Zhu Dadian, so there is a "Huashan Hall" of Ming style in the residence. Besides, the residence owned scenic spots including "Haidu Bei", "Yinhan Fucha", "Qiumeng Xuan" and so on, which are narrated in "The Travel of Lao Can", a masterpiece of Liu E. Nowadays, only 3 entries and over 10 rooms including "Huashan Hall", hallway and main hall still exist.
