Wu Cheng-en's former residence is a national AAAA level scenic spot, one of Jiangsu provincial key cultural relics protection units and the shooting base of the world's first stereo TV drama "Wu Cheng-en and the Journey to the West". The former residence of Wu Cheng-en is composed of the main body of the former residence, the exhibition hall of Wu Cheng-en's life, the memorial hall of Xuan Zang, the art museum of the Monkey King family and the studio of Liuxiaolingtong. It is the only comprehensive display site of the culture of Journey to the West and Wu Cheng-en. The former residence is the Ming Dynasty style classical garden buildings, covering an area of 15,000 square meters with the construction area of 4,000 square meters.
The former residence of Wu Cheng-en is located in Huai'an District of Huai'an City, which is a comprehensive scenic spot for literary studies, celebrity memorial, traditional education, cultural exhibition, tourism and leisure.
