It is situated in the ten miles’ long street west of Qingjiangpu, from north to south and face to the Great Canal. It has a main hall of two entrances, wing rooms inside and in the back is a beautiful garden.
On the eve of century anniversary of Zhou Enlai’s birth, the city government set about millions funds to extend 220 m2 building of old-style private school, show room, calligraphy and painting room, and in the plaza outside the door there is a relievo figure of Zhou Enlai made of white marble with the height 3.4 meters and width 6.8 meters.
The back of this relievo is a poem named "The River To The East" made by Zhou Enlai when he left for Japan by sailing to west. Furthermore Premier Li Peng inscribed in the door "Studying Former Place for Zhou Enlai in Childhood".
