2018 China (Huai'an) International Food Expo concluded successfully on April 21.
The expo received over 100,035 visitors, with 18,500 exhibitors and purchasing agents involved in trade negotiations, 3,600 cooperation intentions reached and deals worth 2.62 billion yuan (451 million US dollars) inked online and offline. During the expo, agreements for 31 food-industry projects signed, with a total investment of 15.68 billion yuan.
Some 115 famous overseas food companies joined purchasing agents from over 30 countries including Russia, India, Brazil and Poland to share new ideas and discuss the future trend of industry development, effectively promoting communication and interaction of food companies from home and abroad.
Multiple activities during the expo have achieved fruitful results in economic and trade cooperation, formed consensus on promoting food industry development, and further deepened and expanded the foreign economic and trade cooperation of Huai'an.
China National Food Industry Association has granted Huai'an the title of "Famous Chinese Food City", making Huai'an the fifth city to win the honor in China. At the Huaiyang Cuisine Industry Development Seminar, experts and scholars offered constructive advices and suggestions for Huaiyang cuisine's innovative development, and jointly launched the Declaration on Inheritance and Development of Huaiyang Cuisine.
