Qinghuai New Material Technology Co., Ltd from Huai'an, with its Nickel–rich lithium battery project, won the title of Excellent Enterprise at the 6th Entrepreneurship Jiangsu Competition, local media reported on Aug. 14.
Incubated by Huai'an Technology Institute of Advanced Energy Materials, the startup outperformed more than 40 enterprises in the competition.
Compared with traditional batteries, the company's product leads its domestic peers for large capacity, short charging time and long battery life.
Huai'an Technology Institute of Advanced Energy Materials, which was introduced into the city in 2015, has its research and development team mainly led by academician Nan Cewen of Tsinghua University, which has a solid technological foundation in materials and new energy.
Hosted by Jiangsu Provincial Science and Technology Department, "Entrepreneurship Jiangsu" has attracted more than 3,000 entrepreneurial teams and enterprises from home and abroad since its launch in May this year.
Projects involved in the competition ranged from new energy to energy conservation, environmental protection and biomedicine.
