Fishermen are busy with catching delicacies – whitebait and saury – in Hongze Lake, Huai’an City, Jiangsu Province on Aug. 12, 2018, four days after the end of an annual fishing ban enforced to restock fishery resources.

Fishermen left early and returned late to make the best use of the peak period, with each boat carrying hundreds of kilograms of saury. The fish is sold immediately when boats return to port and merchants deliver the catch to market the same night.
