Huai'an, Xinhua Daily Media Group in Strategic Agreement
Huai'an City and Xinhua Daily Media Group inked a strategic agreement in the city on Aug. 7, with both sides pledging to have cooperation in major publicity projects, event planning, think tank service, talent training and other fields.
Yao Xiaodong, secretary of the CPC Huai'an Municipal Committee, said in his speech that the agreement marks a new chapter for deepening cooperation between the two sides and creating a new situation of mutual benefit and win-win.
In hailing the historical relationship between two sides, Shuang Chuanxue, president of Xinhua Daily and chairman of Xinhua Daily Media Group, said that Huai'an is the hometown of former premier Zhou Enlai, who and other pioneers for the proletarian revolutionary founded Xinhua Daily in January 1938, the first national political newspaper of the Communist Party of China at that time.
Shuang also said, after 80 years of development, Xinhua Daily has developed from a print media into an all-media group with 14 spin-off newspapers, 8 publications, multiple websites, apps, mobile newspaper, outdoor screens, Weibo and WeChat public accounts, becoming a frontrunner of the national Party newspapers.
