The first Huai'an university students' innovation and entrepreneurship cultural festival was launched on the morning of June 21.
The festival has various activities including professional training camp for makers, Huai'an - Hong Kong - Taiwan universities interaction, forums with renowned entrepreneurs as speakers, and a carnival, with all competitions and activities specially tailored for university students.
Gu Kun, the deputy mayor of Huai'an, said the city has held innovation and entrepreneurship competition for seven years and found many pioneering young talents with the spirits of innovation and entrepreneurship. This year, Huai'an has upgraded the competition into a cultural festival, with an aim to gather the most extensive resources and the most vibrant energy to promote the S&T-based cultural development.
The cultural festival will focus on discovering and nurturing start-up programs by local university students, provide assistance, financing, training, and incubation for excellent projects. It will also converge the entrepreneurial potentials of Huai'an university students, form a cluster of local innovation and entrepreneurship resources through the competitions, and create an influential start-up service and competition platform in the region.
