In order to make a good start in the first quarter of this year, Huai'an water conservancy departments went all out to enhance the progress, safety, quality of projects, and organized a good resumption of work timely after the Spring Festival holidays. On the one hand, they have implemented the main responsibility and did a good job for epidemic prevention and control. On the other hand, comprehensive verifications have been carried out for the personnel, equipment, and working conditions of enterprises. With scientific scheduling and reasonable arrangements, the rate of work resumption in Huai'an has reached of 100%.

This year, the city will implement 9 key projects such as the remediation of black and smelly water body shoreline, the connection of running water, and the upgrading and transformation of urban pumping stations, with a total annual investment of 167 million yuan. As of mid-February, these projects have completed a total investment of 46.859 million yuan, the construction of which has been orderly implemented with steady progress. In addition, in order to create a model of water conservancy projects with Huai'an characteristics, and to promote the construction of the first "happy river" in the city, the Service Centre of Water Conservancy Project Construction & Management has carefully planned the management of the ancient salt river, through extensive research, site visits, talks and exchanges, etc. The bidding work of this project's design will be completed at the end of this month.
