As the Spring Festival is approaching, the Civil Affairs Department of Huai'an is taking various measures to ensure that the elderly with difficulties can enjoy a happy Spring Festival of 2021, when the pandemic still rages across the world.

First, the Department established personal archives through the 1+7 smart network for over 3000 elderly citizens with difficulties such as the elderly living alone and the empty-nest elderly. Second, the Department not only bought housekeeping service for the elderly but also arranged volunteers to provide precise service over 43000 times for those who are in need of cleaning, vegetable shopping, medicine shopping, company, etc. Third, the Department established a temporary care and emergency contact mechanism for the left-behind elderly, covering seventeen towns and streets in ten counties. The mechanism is designed to help the elderly make video contact with their family members so that the migrant workers can work contentedly without worrying about them.
