In recent years, Huai'an has focused on the implementation of source control and process interception of sewage, and continuously promoted the informatization construction for the supervision on sewage collection, treatment and discharge. At present, the prototype design and database design of key drainage users for the geographic information database and management platform have been basically completed, and the platform has already been equipped with online access. The whole system is expected to be put into trial operation by the end of February 2021.

After its completion, the project can monitor the real-time operation of sewage treatment plants, sewage enterprises, drainage pipe networks, pump stations and river intercepting and discharging outlets, so as to ensure the quality compliance of drainage water, as well as the safety and stability of drainage pipe networks. The system also meets the requirements of field business, pump station dispatch and comprehensive operation in sewage operation and management process. Meanwhile, the business process of sewage treatment can be standardized, its business management modes can be optimized and its efficiency of business execution and management can be greatly improved. The construction and operation of database and management platform with sewage geographic information plays a strong supporting role for comprehensively improving sewage and drainage system supervision and informatization, and establishing new intelligent modes of sewage system in the city.
