The Xingang Port covering a total area of 650 mu is located at the intersection of the Beijing-Hangzhou Canal and the Liyunhe Canal. The first phase of the project covers an area of 334 mu, with an annual handling capacity of 2.45 million tons, a total length of 518 meters, and eight thousand-ton berths. The second phase is a 460-meter container terminal with an annual handling capacity of 300000 TEU.
Since the beginning of 2020, the port group has strengthened the upgrading and transformation of the Xingang Port. For example, the group promoted the reconstruction of phase I, the application of the green port demonstration project of Jiangsu Province, the informatization and intelligent construction of phase II. Moreover, the group will focus on phase III and the planning of a modern logistics park. Comprehensive logistics nodes, which integrate urban warehousing, processing, cold chain logistics, green distribution, etc. will be constructed to form a modern comprehensive logistics system. It is hoped that the Xingang Port will be constructed into a container hub port for inland rivers in Jiangsu Province, a water transportation centre along the Huaihe Ecological Economic Belt and a key national port.
