On September 23, the networking activity was held for Huai'an foreign-related enterprises to celebrate the Mid-Autumn Festival and National Day this year, with the theme of "Providing Foreign-related Service for Enterprises and Joining Hand for Common Development". During the event, Huai'an Municipal Foreign Affairs Office introduced service business for all foreign-related enterprises, and the enterprises spoke freely, discussed their industrial cooperation plan, and prospected the future of integrated development.

In 2019, Huai'an set up 130 newly foreign-funded projects, of which the number of Taiwan-funded projects with more than 10 million US dollars ranked second in the province. Since the beginning of this year, the city has successively issued policies and measures to stabilize foreign trade and investment, promote the resumption of work and production, and advance consumption growth. It has also launched innovative measures such as "the Association of Business-friendly Governance" and the grid-based economy, improved the system of leaders in pairs with key enterprises, and established a coordination mechanism for foreign trade and investment, as well as specialized classes for key foreign investment and trade projects. In-depth research services have been conducted too to solve the enterprises' issues. A favorable situation has emerged in which the decline rate of Huai'an open economy has narrowed month by month and the main indicators have risen steadily.
