According to the national arrangements and the joint prevention and control mechanism for foreign epidemic cases along the Yangtze River Delta, since August this year, Huai'an disease control system has organized the health and epidemic prevention group heading for Kunshan to carry out protection tasks for inbound personnel and prevent COVID-19 from being imported.

The "7 + 7" mode has been adopted for the transfer work. After passengers to Huai'an entering Shanghai Airport, Shanghai authorities will first collect and register their information, uniformly arrange them to the designated hotel for centralized quarantine and health observation for 7 days, and conduct nucleic acid testing. Those with negative test results will be transferred to Kunshan Base by special vehicles. Huai'an municipal health and epidemic prevention group is responsible for receiving those personnel in base, organizing special vehicles to pick them up, and implementing the following centralized quarantine and health observation for another 7 days.

On the day of arriving at the base, the municipal group conducted training sessions for people in charge of the transfer work from Huai'an Foreign Affairs Office, Public Security, Transportation, etc., and demonstrated the method of wearing and removing personal protective equipment on site. The group recorded the body temperature and health status of members every day, as well as focused on the key links such as personal protection of transfer personnel and inbound passengers, unloading of personal protective equipment, and disinfection of transfer vehicles, so as to ensure the implementation of epidemic prevention measures during the whole process. Since the official start of the mission on August 3, no error and dissatisfaction of the personnel have been made. This has not only effectively prevented the possible import of overseas epidemic disease, but also brought returnees great warmth from our motherland.
