Recently, Jiangsu Huaiye Technology Development Co., Ltd., a belt and road enterprise in Huai'an, obtained the first manufacturer's and seller's permit of A-500 steel in Uzbekistan. Lida Metal Technology Co., Ltd., established by Jiangsu Huaiye in Uzbekistan, is the only manufacturer of high-grade and high-strength A-500 construction steel in Uzbekistan.

Jiangsu Huaiye is a private company, established under the belt and road and international capacity cooperation initiative. To guarantee the leading position of Uzbekistan's iron and steel industry in Central Asia, He Daping, chairman of Jiangsu Huaiye, established Lida metal Technology Co., Ltd. in Uzbekistan based on the experience of Jiangsu Huaigang Special Steel Co., Ltd., and the development of the steel industry in China. The construction of this project, with a total investment of 39 million US dollars, started in July 2017, and hot commissioning was finished in September 2019. A production line with an annual output of 300000 tons of special steel bars has been completed.

The spread of COVID-19 has had a significant impact on the global economy since the beginning of 2020. However, Jiangsu Huaiye speeded up the development of new products, and successfully produced high-quality A-500 anti-seismic thread steel, and thus obtained the first and the only manufacturer's and seller's permit of A-500 steel in Uzbekistan. At present, the A-500 building materials used in Uzbekistan are all imported. When Lida is put into production, it will save foreign exchange of 100-150 million US dollars for Uzbekistan every year, which is a win-win situation for the enterprise and Uzbekistan.
