On July 24, Huai'an Port Logistics Group, together with China Mobile and Huawei, completed the first 5G independent core network for inland port in China, and the end-to-end business test of high-definition video and core system services in the complex scene of Xingang Port.

The network test of Xingang Port integrates into the front-end edge computing equipment the functions of helmet detection, face feature recognition, smoking alarm, and personnel movement racking, with a millisecond system response. In the peak of pedestrian flow, 30000 samples can be compared within one second, 1000 times faster than manual identification, which significantly improves detection efficiency and overall performance of the security system.

With the goal of "constructing the port with science and technologies and prospering the port with wisdom", Huai'an Port Logistics Group actively promoted new infrastructure construction, and especially the construction of 5G smart port by relying on the strong technical strength of China Mobile and Huawei. The first 5G application base station was completed in September 2019 in the harbor, which is the first 5G application base station in an inland river port in China.
