On March 31, the promotion meeting on the construction of Jiangsu major agricultural and rural projects was held by the Provincial Party Committee and Provincial Government. The first batch of 41 key projects in Huai'an joined the meeting and started construction, covering the fields in modern farming, agricultural product processing and circulating, modern agricultural services, agricultural infrastructure, rural residence improvement and so on, with a total investment of 7.97 billion yuan. This year, 5.92 billion yuan is planned to be used in these projects.

In recent years, Huai'an has been continuously focusing on the major agricultural and rural projects to better realize rural revitalization and promote high-quality development of its agriculture. In 2019, 151 key agricultural projects with over 30-million-yuan investment respectively were started (33 projects over 100 million), and 122 of them (20 projects over 100 million) were completed. The real investment of the high-quality projects reached 5.9 billion yuan in total.
