In order to ensure the smooth resumption of schools, Huai'an has made solid technical guidance on epidemic prevention and control to protect students' health and safety.

First is strengthening its online training. The city has organized various technical training programs for COVID-19 prevention and control in schools through video links, so as to enhance the abilities of school staff in emergency treatment, disinfection and elimination, health education and many other fields.

Second is increasing its technical support. Huai'an has formulated emergency plans for school epidemic prevention and control and flow charts for health inspection and canteen management. At the same time, 9 working groups have been formed along with Huai'an Education Department to carry out school check and acceptance before the resumption of classes and put forward rectification suggestions.

Third is carrying out overall supervisory reviews. 13 municipal primary and secondary schools and 9 municipal colleges and universities have been supervised with 21 written proposals issued and 51 rectification opinions mentioned, all of which have been corrected in time. Special guidance and checks have been also made in all Huai'an counties and districts, with a total of more than 1700 person-time and 431 schools involved.
