On the morning of March 5, major industrial projects in Huai'an were centrally started. Huai'an Municipal Party Secretary Cai Lixin, Mayor Chen Zhichang and other city leaders got informed of the project details and inspected the project sites in Huai'an District. Meanwhile, city leaders Zhang Guoliang and Li Sen took part in the construction activities in Huai'an District, Zhou Yi in Jinhu County, and Liang Sanyuan in Xuyi County respectively.

In recent years, Huai'an has been gathering resources, policies and social forces and continuously setting off the upsurge in investment, construction and services of major projects, which has accumulated great driving forces for its construction of modern industrial system and high-quality leapfrog development. In particular, since the outbreak of Novel Coronavirus Pneumonia this year, the whole city has been promoting the epidemic prevention and control as well as the economic and social development with both hands, carrying forward the resumption of major projects, speeding up the construction progress and trying every means to make up for the delayed progress so as to minimize the impact of the epidemic on major projects. 109 industrial projects were started this time, with a total investment of 53.3 billion yuan and an annual planned investment of 23.2 billion yuan.
