Huai'an Psychological Intervention During Epidemic Prevention and Control

In order to effectively deal with the negative psychological impact on people during the epidemic outbreak, Huai'an has actively carried out intervention and counseling in psychological crisis to promote social stability.

Firstly, a rescue team of 7 mental health specialists has been built. They are now working to intervene those confirmed patients, suspected patients, medical staff, close contacts as well as those unwilling to seek medical treatment and susceptible to the virus in psychological crisis. Secondly, 8 consultation hotlines offering psychological support have been set up. The city arranges 10 operators to provide professional psychological assistance to different groups 24 hours a day. Thirdly, classified guidance and intervention has been provided towards different targets. Huai'an has carried out timely psychological intervention for more than 80 medical staff in the second batch of isolation wards as well as people who have stayed at home over a long period of time to manage their bad mood. Up to now, 6217 people have received the mental health services.
