Capacity Cooperation Meeting for Jiangsu (Huai'an) - Macao and Portuguese-Speaking Countries Held in Huai'an

On September 17, the delegation of the Permanent Secretariat of Forum Macao visited Huai'an. On the afternoon of the 18th "Capacity Cooperation Meeting for Jiangsu (Huai'an) - Macao and Portuguese-speaking Countries" was held in order to build platforms for Huai'an advantageous industries and enterprises which can meet the market needs of Portuguese-speaking countries and to promote the cooperation and development of potential projects.

At the meeting, representatives from Portuguese-speaking countries such as Mozambique, Angola, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe and East Timor introduced their investment environment and preferential policies. Representatives from Jiangsu Canasin Weaving Co., Ltd. and Everbright Bioenergy Co., Ltd. exchanged their experience respectively. The Forum for Economic and Trade Co-operation between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries (Macao), also known as Forum Macao, was initiated by China's Central Government, hosted by the Ministry of Commerce of China, in co-ordination with eight Portuguese-speaking Countries — namely Angola, Brazil, Cape Verde, Guinea-Bissau, Mozambique, Portugal, Sao Tome and Principe and East Timor — and with the collaboration of the Government of the Macao Special Administrative Region. Forum Macao is a non-political, multilateral and intergovernmental co-operation mechanism aimed at promoting economic and trade exchanges between China and Portuguese-speaking Countries.
