In order to create an atmosphere of looking after minors in society, "Caring for Hometown Children, Appreciating Huai'an", the summer camp for left-behind children in need, was jointly held by the Civil Affairs Bureau, the Rescue Station, the Welfare Lottery Center, and Xiaocheng Daai Volunteers Association in Huai'an.
Over 20 students from Daimeng Village, Shihe Town, Huai'an District were invited to visit Polar Ocean at Huai'an Crystal Palace Beluga Water World, to taste Huaiyang cuisine at Huaiyang Cuisine Museum, to see a movie at Pony Studio, and to experience psychology programs at the Rescue Station. Through visitation and relevant explanation, the students have expanded their horizons, enhanced awareness of protecting marine environment, realized long-standing historical and cultural connotations of Huaiyang cuisine, perceived Huai'an's charms, and enhanced their love for their hometown. During the event, Huai'an Civil Affairs Bureau presented satchels, stationery, and books to each student.
