time:2019-07-10

On the morning of July 9, a cargo plane loaded with electronic products and mails took off from Huai'an Airport and landed at Xianyang International Airport in Xi'an two hours later, marking the opening of Huai'an's first full cargo airline. This is the first commercial cargo route between Jiangsu and Shaanxi, an air corridor for Huai'an and the cities around it to integrate into the "Belt and Road Initiative", and also the first step taken by Huai'an to construct it into an air cargo hub.

Zhongyuan Longhao Airlines has used Boeing 737-300 full cargo freighters, each with a full cargo capacity of about 14 tons to carry out five cargo flights per week from Huai'an to Xi'an since July 9. The outgoing cargos are mainly express mails, aquatic products and electronic products, which can be transferred as belly cargo or full cargo through the international airlines in Xianyang International Airport in Xi'an to the United States, Europe and other regions in China like Taipei. The incoming cargos involve domestic express mails, agricultural and animal husbandry products from the western regions of China. It is estimated that nearly 20 tons of inbound and outbound cargos will be delivered per flight, and the annual cargo and postal handling capacity of Huai'an Lianshui Airport will exceed 10,000 tons.
