Far Eastern Air Transport Makes Business Tour in Huai'an

A delegation led by Chang Kang-Wei, chairman of Taiwan's Far Eastern Air Transport, visited Huai'an on April 16 to understand the development of air cargo hub in the city and seek for cooperation.

Huai'an mayor Cai Lixin and deputy mayor Zhao Quan welcomed the delegation and showed them around the city.

The delegation visited the Airport Industrial Park, Lishui Airport, Lishui Railway Station, Shuidukou Financial Center, Nanjing-Huai'an Modern Service Industry Cluster and the Hongze Lake Embankment and other sites, and was briefed about the city's plan to develop the air cargo hub, airport economy, airport construction and operation as well as agricultural products business.

Chang said he was impressed by Huai'an's geographical advantages and modern transportation system. In particular, Huai'an has accelerated the development of the air cargo hub and the Huaihe River Green Economic Belt, projects in line with Far Eastern Air Transport's strategy to develop cargo transportation, according to Chang. He added that there are great opportunities for cooperation.

In the meeting, Cai Lixin said that Far Eastern Air Transport has played an important role in promoting people-to-people exchanges and economic and trade cooperation since the launch of regular cross-Straits flights. Cai hoped Far Eastern Air Transport can pay more attention to Huai'an, understand the city further, deepen pragmatic cooperation between two sides, and strive to achieve a win-win situation.
