Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province organized a promotion conference for its upcoming food expo and agricultural products under the brand Huaiwei Qiannian in Shanghai on April 12, attracting representatives from nearly 40 companies including Walmart, Metro and Carrefour.

The promotion also aims to make the fair part of the development of the Yangtze River Delta Region. By inviting Shanghai's well-known companies, organizers hope the expo will better play its role in connecting producers and sellers, explore the market in Shanghai for exhibitors as well as the agricultural brand Huaiwei Qiannian, which literally means Huai'an charm for 1,000 years. Many Shanghai companies were deeply impressed by the first edition of the expo and also hope to get more involved in the second expo.

The second China (Huai'an) International Food Expo will be held in Huai'an from May 9 to 12. At present, organizers have sent invitations to 330 companies as well as 15 country and regional groups to participate in the fair. Among those enterprises, thirty are Fortune 500 companies or the world's top 100 food companies, and 45 are from Taiwan.
