More than 30 volunteers from a charity organization in Huai'an, named Rang Ai Qi Hang (Love Begins Here), joined 109 children in Luhua Primary School in Yugou Town to spend a happy weekend on April 27.

The children received exquisite gifts, enjoyed food in KFC, recited poems in Bochi Hill Park and watched animals in the Huai'an Zoo with a great interest.

Bella and Julia, two volunteers from Canada, were quite popular among students, who enjoyed doing games and dancing with them despite the language barrier. The two volunteers said that they were very happy to participate in such activity and felt the tour particularly meaningful when they saw the smiling faces of the children.

Gao Yunli, head of the charity organization, said many of the children in the tour are left-behind children, which means they remain in rural regions while their parents leave to work in urban areas. Gao also said some children are from poor families and never left home in the past. The organization hopes to let them understand more what the outside world looks like through the activity.
