Engineers and technicians are maintaining the No. 1 synchronous condenser, which measures 14.4 meters long and 64 tons heavy, at the ±800KV converter station in Huai'an City, Jiangsu Province, March 12, 2019. This marked the first time of maintenance of synchronous condenser, a large-scale built up in the electricity system, on the receiving-end UHVDC project.
