A Folk Customs and Cultural Festival opens in Guishan, an ancient village near the Hongze Lake in Huai'an City, January 27.

As part of the Lunar New Year celebrations, the festival included drum dance, walking on stilts, lion dance, dragon dance, writing Spring Festival couplets, paper-cutting, and traditional New Year paintings popular among local fishermen.
