Huai'an Economic and Technological Development Zone continued to take the lead in Huai'an city in terms of main indicators including the total output value and added value of industrial enterprises above designated size.
It climbed one place higher to rank among the top 12 national level zones in Jiangsu, and 29th in the country.
The zone took the initiative in launching four industrial technology innovation alliances, including one for new energy vehicles.
It is home to over 100 enterprises with annual tax payment exceeding 10 million yuan.
The zone has signed a total of 67 deals including one for helicopter assembly, Mingfa Group's Huai'an Center, and industrial park of Mapletree Investments.
These projects had a total investment of 46.2 billion yuan, of which 10 projects exceeded 1 billion yuan each.
The zone's 28 major projects have started construction, completing the investment of 7.651 billion yuan.
It is expected that 24 new projects, each with an investment of over 100 million yuan, will be kicked off and 20 new projects will be completed.
