A red electric vehicle got recharged with the charging pile at the Huai'an Banzha Charging Station, on January 7, 2019. The electricity did not come from the power grid, but the solar photovoltaic panels installed on the roof of an office building not far away.
The station was commissioned at the end of 2012. Now it integrates recharging with intelligent charging piles, energy storage batteries and PV power generation, among other advanced technologies, and has become the first integrated EV charging station in northern Jiangsu. The station generates power at 30 kWh per day and can meet the charging demand of one electric vehicle.
There are more than 3,000 new energy vehicles in Huai'an City, and 10 charging piles are currently being built at the Banzha Charging Station.
