At 316 kilometers long, the high-speed railway runs through Jiangsu from east to west, making it a key railway artery in the province's hinterland.
As the Huai'an section was completed, 320.55 kilometers long of track had been laid now.
The railway will complete the track-laying by the end of April, with test scheduled in September.
The railway will be ready for opening by the end of December.
At present, constructions of the Huai'an sections of two railways – Lianyungang-Huai'an-Yangzhou-Zhenjiang Railway and Xuzhou-Suqian-Huai'an-Yancheng Railway, took the lead among all cities along the lines, with an investment of 4.15 billion yuan or 118.6 percent of the planned investment completed.
