After the start of winter/spring flight schedule from October 28, Huai'an Lianshui Airport will add new routes to Phuket, Beijing (via the Nanyuan Airport), Urumqi, Quanzhou and Lanzhou, bringing the number of destinations and airlines to 31 and 14 respectively.
The airport will have four direct international routes - to Bangkok, Siem Reap, Nha Trang, Phuket, and one direct regional route to Taipei.
The opening of the Huai'an-Urumqi route will be the city's first one to Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region, and also the only direct flight from northern Jiangsu Province to the northwestern region.
The airport will increase flights to Qingdao and Guiyang to realize one flight per day, and also improves the flight schedule to Southwest China's Chengdu City.
According to the plan, Huai'an Lianshui Airport will continue the expansion of routes, create a first-class development environment for aviation logistics, and strive to build a modern international airport.
